And, with the exception of one time when I was trying to walk and got my skis tangled up with one another, I didn't fall once... accidentally. :P Whenever there's any sort of legit hill, though, I end up going too fast and the ski tips together thing doesn't really work so... I fall on purpose. I should probably figure out how to fix that... which I shall do tomorrow. Only problem being that my legs hurt and my knees KILL, and the latter thing should not occur. But, hey, it's fun... when I can actually do it.

After I got beginners' lessons, Mariya and I went skiing. She's on ski team. She skis double diamonds. I went on the two easiest slops and plan to do so again tomorrow. She's being kept amused by my lack of skill. Very sad yet very amusing.

And now I'm off to continue work on my House music vid.

Ta mates!

When you are going too fast, keep your skis parallel, but point them up the hill ... or at least less down the hill.

Gravity works.

Parallel skis and not wedged ones?

Yes. You can keep them parallel and use gravity as a brake.

You have to learn to shift your weight so you are always leaning a little toward the hill. That gives you the balance to steer the skis together in the direction you want. When you want to go faster, point them more down the hill ... slower, more up the hill.

It just takes practice, is all.
