Okay, anyone know which lj themes out of the gazzillions they have actually allow you to add your own custom header? I've found one (obviously), but I've been trying to find another theme for the past 20 minutes for the fic journal, and it's just not working.

I got fed up and just found one I liked, wrote down the color codes, slapped a header on the same style layout and did it myself. Took a bit, but it was worth it.

That, or I drive myself crazy doing the colors myself. Double fun!

Unless you're looking for the fast way to do it, cuz... pfft, who wants that?

I think you have to use a custom CSS for it. At least, that's the only way I've ever gotten it to work. But then, we all know I can't code to save my life.

Eff, I read through my tutorials real quick and the way I'm used to it only works for paid users. I can give you the free users one, but I don't understand it at all and would thus be no help...

I'll link you anyway:

(It's for flexisquares, but I don't see why it wouldn't work for anything else... If worse comes to worst, google it)

Thank you!

I'll read, and hopefully I'll figure it out. @_@

I usually use the advanced customization section to edit layers directly. I'd be happy to code something up for you. I've found the easiest ones to do this for are flexible squares, opal, three-column, quite lickable, and variable.

Advances customization section? *Blink blink* I understand how it works for quite lickable (there's literally a "Top heading style" option, as well as a place to put in the header link), but I can't figure it out for the others.

And I would absolutely love if you would code something up for me, except I'm not quite sure what that means or even how to play around with layers. @_@ (And I don't want you to do all that much work on my behalf; I know you're busy, and I'd hate to be a bother).
