Guess who's back, back again...
Aug. 27th, 2008 10:58 amSo I am currently sitting in my living room, living up the A/C because FL is hot as hell stuck on a stove, on my dad's computer, with ER playing in the background and my dog sitting on his bed a little way away. In other words, I'm back in the good ol' United States and home! For a week or so, with lots of school and work-related stuff to do (that I'm putting off for the day, thankyouverymuch), but still...
Thank you guys for the comments on my last entry. It was the day before my flight, which made it even more awful (the night=throwing up, half the day=nausea and fever, latter half of the day=fever), and I just felt... ugh. My mom was amazing and packed for me, which I am forever grateful for. Moving was just... far too difficult. And I don't mean in the usual lazy way.
As for the flight back to the States, we had to get up at 5 AM, which I, you know, loathed, but I was feeling much better. Only my stomach and diaphragm were sore, rather than every one of my muscles aching. Of course I then got carried away on the food department, and as I put it in a comment:
I thought, hey, I'm better, let's have ice cream! While on a plane! And my stomach is sore and I get motion sickness!
Oh how I love omnipresent nausea. @_@
The flight was 11 hours long but only felt about 5 hours this time, with the last 3 hours or so plagued by nausea. Then we got to Atlanta, went through more security, and waited for our connection. Which was late. And miserable because of the heat and humidity.
Luckily I was exhausted and fell asleep during the wait, then on the plane, so the nausea didn't bother me too much. (Yes, when I say omnipresent, I do mean it didn't go away.)
Dad met us, we got the luggage, I very firmly told my parents and grandma to stop arguing and yelling about the War in Georgia (yes, great topic of conversation when we've been on planes or in airports for the last 24 hours), and then we got home and I passed out. And slept not as much as I would've liked (only around 10 hours) and am now awake!
My throat hurts, I'm a little nauseous, my mom is also sick and has cancelled my dentist appointment for me (which was scheduled for today... why, Mom, why?), but...
I'M HOME!!!
And pictures and fanfic are upcoming! Just need to upload/organize pictures and--now that I'm in the right country and have time and no longer feel like my stomach wants to rip itself out from my body--watch some Doctor Who and watch some Farscape and write.
How are all you lovelies?
P.S. Also, there was just a commercial that said public restrooms were disgusting. Um... you haven't been to Russia, Ms. Announcer, have you? In comparisons, the bathrooms here sparkle and have angels singing.
