Ways to treat doggie cancer

1. Radiation 5 times a week for 4 weeks. 50% chance of prolonging the dog's life 3-5 years. Dog will be miserable for two months. Lots of chances for complications.

2. Radiation once a week for 4 weeks. Gives dog an extra 3-8 months.

3. Let the tumor grow. If it doesn't spread to some other part of his body, amptutate the leg (though I'm wondering why the hell we couldn't amputate the leg before it grows, but then the poor dog would have no left front leg). Or just let him die.

...I really don't have much else to say.

That must be horrible to find out. If it's any consolation my friend's dog had a tumour in its tail (also a kinda important limb) and they removed the tumour and part of the tail but it's okay now. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and all that jazz cos this cannot be fun at all.

Sadly, there might be a second tumor now, and if it's spreading, there's really not much we can do.

*Sigh*
