i actually read a different interpretation of this whole snape/dumbledore situation. Someone said something like Dumbledore was not begging for his life but begging Snape to go through with it and kill him. I know this is a stretch but it would make an interesting twist in book seven if this person is right. She went on defending it by bringing ack the moment where dumbledore was argueing with snape in the forest, also that dumbledore knew he had to die before harry faced voldemort because as you said he needs to face him alone. This death also affectivly impacted him and now he is more prepared than ever to hunt voldie down and obliverate him to a pulp. lol yea thats just another take on it. BUT THIS BOOK WAS AWESOME, its usually not like JKR to leave such a huge cliffhanger at the end of her books, its usually the same ending, summer starts, goes to uncles house, waits for next year at hogwarts. but now its more of a mystery of what happens next...
