I just finished a story about a girl who kills her abusive bf. Probably the first complete non-fantasy thing I've written in a long long time. And I'm rather proud of it. Cool.

I've also started something about pedophelia..... my mind is creepy.

That sounds really good, where might I be able to read this story?

I second that emotion

Does your story also delve into what attracted this girl to her abusive boyfriend in the first place?

And, oh yeah, it's spelled pedophilia. The -phil element (don't know if it's Greek or Latin) is commonly interpreted to mean "love of," such as:

Pedophile: One who "loves" children
Anglophile: One who loves all things British
Philosophy: Love of Wisdom
Hemophilia: That disease where you can't stop bleeding because your blood does not clot. Many of the royal houses of Europe were affected by this because Queen Victoria of England was a hemophilia carrier. It especially affected the last Tsar of Russia, Nikolai II, because his only son (and heir) was a hemophiliac. I guess the word means "love of blood," maybe because those who are afflicted constantly need transfusions?

Some tangent I've gone off on, huh?

That's cool.... Thanks for the spelling correction/info. :D

As for "phil," it's prolly Greek. I don't quite recognize it in Latin and it doesn't seem like it would be from Latin.

In the piece, I do not delve what attracted her in the first place, though I might. I basically know the backstory.

Instead of being blatant about it, maybe you could build up that backstory and let your reader draw her/his own conclusions?
