salienneI figured I'd put up the idea for my Rose/Doctor reunion!fic that I came up with months ago. It involves all sorts of fun almost-paradoxes and cute scenes and drama and adventure and angst and time travel and wheeeeeeee, and I absolutely adore the idea. I just have no time to write it. And by the time I did get around to it/finished it, Rose would probably already have returned. Yes. I doubt I'd finish it in 6 months, cuz this thing'd be LOOOOOONG.
All the same, I felt like putting it up, because I'm feeling creative but not in the mood for the Merchant, so here's something creative I did once upon a time. Especially since this weekend is all studying and death.

Oh, and this is still in note form, so it's not all that sophisticated or even corherent... Still, I like the basic premise. :P
Mickey comes and tells the Doctor that Rose is dead and that’s not the only reason he’s there: there’s a rift, newly opened up, and their world is dying (make some foreshadowing with the Doctor’s universe and our earth). When the Doctor examines the crack between worlds right after Mickey comes, he finds that it originated on this side—the TARDIS is strangely quick and helpful in figuring this out, but seems to refuse explaining how it came about. The Doctor is flabbergasted and wonders if the Paradox Machine had anything to do with it (though, naturally, it was Bad Wolf, as we’ll learn in the epilogue.)
Doctor decides to save Rose and the universes—long as that world still thinks Rose is dead, it should work out fine. Mickey brought 2 yellow button universe hopper things, and the Doctor goes to get Jack’s “space hopper” (i.e. vortex manipulator). Jack makes the Doctor let him come along and off they go.
Now, Mickey can’t go with the Doctor and Jack to the place where Rose died (not quite sure how yet) cuz there’s already a Mickey there in established events and Rose is alone when she dies and the Doctor’s risking time and paradoxes too much already, he can’t take anymore chances. So Mickey has to stay in the time they brought him to, and he has to stay hidden in case he changes anything in a way that would screw up what the Doctor is doing to save Rose in the past or is planning on doing to close up the crack between the worlds. So the Doctor questions Mickey on what exactly brought him to the Doctor, and him alone, and orders Mickey not to tell him ANY MORE so that the Doctor will have to worry about screwing up less. This way, whatever Mickey says will still be whatever Mickey says as long he keeps with what he hears in the past on the day that Rose dies. So first he and Jack save Rose. (And we’ll have lots of fun with that one, with screw-ups and past!Mickey and lots of near-paradoxes and interesting stuff XD Maybe someone else dies and they have to hide it for the time being—delightfully angsty ^.^)
Then, after arguing with Rose to go back to her/Pete's world, the Doctor realizes she doesn’t have to, long as they arrive after Mickey came for them. They go, either end up too early (have to hide) or on time, and meet up with fut!Mickey. Quick goodbyes are said, Rose chooses to go with the Doctor, and Jack, Rose, and the Doctor go back to the Doctor’s world where the TARDIS is. The Doctor closes the fracture between universes. Rose feels all déjà vu-y.
