Well first off, thank God Donna met the Doctor, because every time I heard about another companion dying, I teared up. Martha, Sarah Jane, Gwen and Ianto (granted, not companions, but close enough), and Jack imprisoned on another world [I think I caught that right...]?

Dear God wow.

Also, the earth? So fucked. We have another apocalyptic thing, but in contrast to last year's, this year we see the developments and the little moments, the mushroom cloud over London, everyone they know dying, getting shoved into a house with two other families, Sylvia's disappointment and blame, concentration camps.

Just... wow.

Also, Donna, so much better off after meeting the Doctor. 'Cos, yes, I did want to shake her half the time. But still she saved the world.

She is so awesome, did I mention that?

And... Rose. I have to admit, I was expecting much less popping in and far more interaction and the like, but I love how it came out. Basically, Rose is now her own Doctor (something I so expected and has been my favorite thing in fics), but she's still Rose, compassionate and quick on her feet and just so very badass. Though, yeah, colder. She does seem very detached, which makes sense from the little we know but is a bit sad.

Still, I don't think she could have ever said, "You're gonna die," so casually before. So harder too, more willing to be intelligent and show it, more knowledgable, more authoritative.

And so awesome.

The "name" thing I find intriguing... The Doctor's, Rose's. What is it with names? And the bees.

And the end? The Doctor's expression when he hears that she was blond, his reaction to Bad Wolf...

AND THE TRAILER OMG I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH THAT TRAILER MADE ME SQUEE!!!!!!!!!

'Cos Jack and Sarah Jane and Martha I knew about, Gwen and Ianto and the Hub, not so much. And the fact that Team Torchwood is kicking ass, and we have Rose and the Doctor and Donna...

I will now proceed squee ad infinitum, thanks. :)

EDIT: Just rewatched. Only ep. I've rewatched again directly after first watching, and it is so much better the second time around. I was all less hyped up and able to pay attention.
