Back to School Post

salienneSo, it is currently 2 AM and I have been back at school for about 5 hours now. The flight was awesome, mainly because I got to watch Doctor Who on a laptop whose battery actually worked (I watched me some Martha, because I missed her and she is the only companion whose presence doesn't currently make me want to chuck things at the screen). The taxi ride was also entertaining as it turned out the driver was Russian (second from-the-airport taxi ride in a row where that's happened) and we chatted.
Yes, I have an accent. I am starting to understand what my Mom says about how annoying that is.
Then got to school, called Corinne (sup roommie?) as I was completely lost with the whole new dorm thing, she and Becca helped me be less lost, and then I just sort of hung out with people. My stuff is back from storage and my tv is not broken, I had banana milk shakes (with a minimum of milk and a maximum of ice cream) in Sara's room, and my computer is currently uploading all my music into iTunes.
...It's really weird to see those blank play counts, guys. I was proud of some of those! And I just won't want to listen to the same songs on repeat as I did in high school. It feels like I've misplaced some accomplishment or lost a bit of the past. Weird, eh?
Still, I am growing very fond of my smooth shiny fast computer, and with some manipulation I could have loads of space for DDR in my room, and though I continue to dread the whole "Resonsibility" thing, I am more or less content.
And now to sleep!
Hopefully iTunes has finished, 'cos I don't want to leave the mini-TARDIS (lappy's name) on when I go to bed. I'm still in overprotective mode.
