salienne***DISCLAIMER*** This is a completely non-coherent rant. I haven't proofread or nething. Just kinda ranted 'bout wut came to mind. (Fucking hate the USA rt now.... We're better than most places but still...) Yup, so w/o further ado, why the US is made up of intolerant, hypocritical MORONS, at least a good portion of it anyway.
11 out of 11 states have voted to ban gay marriage. 8 of these states are fucking banning CIVIL UNIONS ON TOP OF IT ALL! *Rage broils* WTF IS THE MATTER WITH THESE PEOPLE?!?!?!?! It's called "equal rights", you know, WHAT THE FUCKING COUNTRY WAS BASED ON! And you're taking these equal rights away because of the stupidest fucking most bs reasons ever created. Why not just make all religions except for those that have sumthing to do with the Bible illegal? (No, not bashing Christianity or nething here, just the country's laws really are based very much on this, and this type of religion has the most followers in the US I believe) While we're at it, HEY, LET'S GO BACK TO SLAVERY! THAT'S BEEN AROUND FROM BC! And then all of us gals can become objects that belong to the man again, and we can all just go back to the dark ages! You know, back to the religious wars that are STILL around, but let's go back to all out war, like in the Middle Ages and even beyond. WHY NOT?
The US started this equality, democracy, etc. trend, and what has it done? It's fallen behind in the race as other countries move far far ahead. The country is screwing itself INTO THE FUCKING GROUND and everyone can see it.
But not talking bout that, I'd just like to address gay marriage. Every single fucking argument against it is bullSHIT. I could go ON and ON. Homosexuality is NOT unnatural. There are animals in nature that practice it (not comparing it to beasts or w/e, but it's obviously not UNNATURAL), AND it's been around not just since recently but probably since the dawn of man. I mean, even the samurai engaged in it and it WAS ACCEPTED. Grrrrrrr........ Oh, here's ANOTHER argument against it that I love: the point of marriage is to have kids. But wait! If the point of marriage is to have kids, doesn't that mean sterile men and/or women can't marry? Forget adoption, what's the point of it if that's the case? Oh, don't even get me started on adoption..... I mean, AS LONG AS THE PARENTS ARE LOVING AND GOOD TO THEIR CHILDREN, IT DOES NOT MATTER WHETHER THEY'RE ONE GENDER OR TWO! The child isn't gonna be messed for life. And there isn't gonna be a whole new surge of homo/bisexuals if gay marriage is legalized. It's ridiculous,. Utterly ridiculous. Whether or not you can marry does not determine whether or not you'll have a relationship. It REALLY won't. And it works! Look at Scandinavia for example! Worked since 1989.
And that's not even the point! The point is, the USA is supposed to be a country of EQUALITY AND TOLERANCE, not a country supposedly separating Church and state and one hypocritical to the core. If a vote had been taken back when slavery was abolished, who here REALLY thinks it WOULD have been abolished? Honestly?
Ugh I fucking hate this country's hypocricy.
Yup, rant over. I could go on but I'll save it for the editorial I'm writing for Milton on this topic.
I swear if there's an amendment passed, I'm moving out of this damn country. -_-
And I off to study for Latin and French and yeah. Pissed I am.

2. Children that are minorities, have disabilities, are older, or a mixture of these, are more likely to be adopted by a gay couple than a "regular" one
3. Civil Unions don't give the same tax benefits that marriage does
4. Most adoptions are made by gay couples
5. It is easier for a married couple to adopt children
6. It is unconstisutional for the state to interfere with church affairs, and marriage is a church affair. "Congress shall make no law respecting an established religion, or prohibiting the free exercize thereof". -The Bill of Rights, First Amendment. Therefore, the government should have no say in it whatsoever
7. "Democracy is more then just two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner." The majority should not gang up on the minority, simply because they can. That is not what America is about.
All you have to do is make up some statistics, and you're golden. ;)
