Saw "War of the Worlds" Yesterday

SPOILER ALERT!

It was actually REALLY good. I give it 3/4 stars. Why not 4 you ask? Well, the acting was bloody brilliant. I love Tom Cruise officially now. He's a freaking STUPENDOUS actor. And some scenes were just done SO well... such as the landscape when he goes outside and the scene where he has his daughter be blindfolded and sing so she doesn't see/hear something he has to do. But then... we got the cliched characters, somewhat crappy script for the daughter at parts, random weird lines and not enough char. development for the son, and the ending... My God that ending was awful... I know what they could have EASILY done to fix it, but NOOOOOO, they had to make it all unrealistic. Ash and I were like "No!"

But... I liked it lots. And I'll just pretend that the ending is a fantasy or something...

P.S. I now remember why I love QotD, the movie... (Watched it yesterday at Ash's. All I gotta do is pretend that NOTHING is carried over from the books except Lestat's personality... and hotness...)
