Ok, escapades last night:

So I'm in the bathroom just after a shower, and my floor's going vaguely crazy about the Assasins game (you know, where you're assigned people to kill, and they're assigned people, and it's all kill-or-be-killed and really entertaining). My roommie shuts the door (slamming it, I suppose)... and then we have a problem. The doorknob's jammed. The door's shut and locked and not coming unshut or unlocked anytime soon. My key won't work, her keys (slipped under the door) won't work, the security guy's master key won't work (we called him 5-10 minutes in), and my rommie's stuck inside and I'm stuck outside. In a towel. Luckily I did have pants and undies in the bathroom, so I just had to borrow a shirt from my suitemate, but then I'm still stuck outside, with various people milling in and out. A bunch of us have a yelling convo through the door. Yay.

In the end, a locksmith was called. And the locksmith on call is, for some reason, 30-45 minutes away from campus (they can't find a closer one?). So I sit outside the door talking to Ashley and keeping her calm (because she's vaguely claustrophobic and sort of freaking out and feeling very guilty). She starts losing her voice so we just pass notes back and forth under the door, then tic-tac-toe, then hangman. Yay Russel (an awesome guy on our floor) who was there with me note-chatting with Ashley. She pwned our ass in hangman. Seriously.

Eventually, the locksmith gets here, and it's about 2 AM. The security guy is at the door to our suite chatting with the RA on duty and our floor's RA, and I'm still sitting outside the door with Russel. The locksmith tries his keys, that doesn't work. He pries the door up a little with crowbar-like instruments and tries again. Still doesn't work. So he uses them on where the lock actually is (you know, the spot between the doorknob and wall where the metal thing actually sticks out... I really need to learn the names of these things) and it works. The door opens, and the door and lock are no worse for it. And Ashley is free. Yay!

The problem with the door: we didn't have "bumpers", small padding thingies on the inside of our door. They're basically round poofy stickers that it took him less than a minute to put on. THIS was why the door got stuck. -_-;;

So... going to bed at 2:30, I decided to not go to history and sleep till 11:20. Cognitive Psych (at 9) was already canceled. I figured I could go to abnormal psych at 2:30.

'Cept I gave blood today. Yay! ^.^ Now, my appointment was at 1 PM, but I was there till 3. Although, after a brief lightheadedness, I was fine. No yickiness. Completely unlike last time, when I almost passed out. w007!

As for Psych, Tabitha's taking notes for me and I have not gone to a single class today. And have still done no work. Yay.

And now I'm off. Yay adventurous days!

Ta mates.
