And by Oz, I mean England; in a few hours (i.e. about 7), I am off to Newark and then to London.

Wish me luck, guys!

Also, any suggestions on what to do once in England? Anything in particular I should check out? Heck, anyone feel like hanging out at any point?

Gareth [David Lloyd] will be attending the New England Fan Experience in Boston, Massachusetts November 13-15th 2009. Event, venue and ticket information can be found at the NEFanX website.

The one semester I go to England, everyone comes to America! This is not fair, guys! Because if I were actually here, I would go!

*Grumble grumble mope grumble only I could be whining about studying abroad grumble*

ETA: Also, Leonard Nimoy is going to be there. Leonard Nimoy. Bah.

Any of you think you can explain Bristol University's system to me?

Like, what are teaching blocks? Are blocks 1-12 fall semester while 13-24 are spring, or are both fall (Fall semester=September-January)? How many credits does one typically take at an English university? How does a 6-week course relate to semester-long courses? What on earth are all these "levels"?

Any help for the poor confused American would be very very appreciated!

(Also, Bristol or Royal Halloway for a semester abraod... Any opinions?)

I need to study abraod. In England. *Bounces a lot* Thus far, Oxford seems to look most promising, and I think I'll end up doing something in English and perhaps Classics. Cuz dammit I need me some England, and that's pretty much the only stuff I can get credit transfered for (the English, at least). And both are very very fun.

Now if only November 1st could hurry up and get here so that I could talk to the study abroad person.

Oh, and on another note, I wrote a poem. Yes, me, writing a poem. Odd, non? It was after I got Frost's iambic rhythms stuck in my head, so it just sorta... came to me, I suppose? I had fun, anyway, and I'm sort of proud of it, so if anyone's interested, here it is:
