Thoughts on watching Utopia

Martha gets very wrapped up in men. Like… to a major extent. When she first sees Jack and finds out he has no heartbeat, he wakes up, and she doesn’t question it because he flirts with her and then there’s the whole Rose/companions/getting left behind thing. There's not one word spent on the subject. Out-of-verse, that's sloppy writing. In-verse, I suppose that's Martha getting caught up in guys...
The Doctor is cruel. Seriously, confront him with Jack and he can’t go without making comments on the immortality in such an off-hand, almost mean way. Not so good at hiding something when its cause is staring him in the face and pretty much jabbing him in the ribs, is he?
A bit of possible sexism/racism (though I’d prolly go for sexism): the Professor is looking for the Doctor. He finds Martha, Jack, and the Doctor and only looks at the two men, almost as if she doesn’t exist. Granted, she is really short compared to them, and they do make more imposing figures, so it could just be charisma, but still. Though there’s also the possibility that the Master’s obvious sexism (“How inappropriate. Killed by an insect. A girl") played a part here.
Oh, and this episode was also nonstop amazing. Seriously. I laughed, I grinned, I bounced, my heart sped up…
Whoever says RTD can’t write is nuts. I love it. XD I mean, sure, it has some flaws (mainly in that, once I look for it, Martha’s portrayal is rather iffy at parts) but I comment on those because everything else is bloody fantastic.
….And I’ll now go do my hw and grab dinner.
