So, just finished Life on Mars (in 3 days--no, I haven't done much besides watch tv on my computer, come to think of it).

And ya know, I am really rather fond of this show. Have a few issues with the ending because, depending on how you look at it, it's a bit squicky, but it's quite nice in some ways too. So... yay mixed feelings!

Just one question, though:

What the hell is it with the creepy little girl?

Two seasons and I still don't get it.

Oh, and I really need a John Simm icon.

you're happy Sam jumps off a building because then he gets to go back to 1973 but, you know, a person jumping off a building isn't really something you should be happy about.

Exactly! That just presses way too many of my squick buttons, though. Thus in my mind, he is in a coma but somehow takes over the body of someone in 1973, a la Sam Becket. So when he jumps off the building, he doesn't die but actually travels back in time again. 'Cos choosing death and an escape over living I just can't support. @_@

Still, one of the best endings to a TV show EVER.

I personally hate Ashes to Ashes. I only saw the first ep, so maybe I didn't give it a good enough go, but to me it seemed to be Life On Mars: this time our protagonist is a girl, so Gene can shag her and we don't even have to worry about building emotional continuity first!

Hmmm... I read on wiki that it starts off iffy but then gets better? Also, isn't Gene married? Or does the wife conveniently die?

I think I'll give it a try and hope I can get past the first episode then. @_@
