Summary: Most days during the year that never was, Martha is able to keep going: she doesn’t think about the way life used to be or the horrors she has witnessed. But some days, focusing on abstract facts doesn’t work. Some days, she just has to stop.

A/N: Well since I chose April 27th for the date of my fic, I suppose I should tell you all WHY I chose it: it’s Rose’s birthday and my birthday, so I thought, why not? No, this date does not actually have much significance in the fic, and I suppose I should scold myself for that, but I just wanted to write the tale of a typical day in the life of Martha Jones during the year that never was. I also realize a good deal of this story takes place on April 24th, but it was just the way inspiration came to me… I hope you all like it anyway! Comments are love! :D

A/N: I’ve always been convinced that the Doctor wouldn’t have gotten on that horse and trapped himself in the 1700’s without saying something to Rose, and this is the scene I imagine happening right before he did it. I apologize that this fic isn’t betaed (I should really find a Doctor Who beta…) but I hope you all enjoy it regardless!

Hey all! I know this is VERY last-minute (what, me procrastinate? Never!) but I’ve just finished up my fic for [Bad username or site: ”365days_fiction” @ livejournal.com], my first real fanfiction in AGES, and I really need me a beta. Only catch: the fic is due August 1st. (When I say last-minute...)

This is a Doctor Who fic from Martha's POV, set on April 27th during the year that wasn't. Obviously knowledge of Doctor Who would be helpful, but if anyone were willing just to go through for writing clarity, flow, grammar, etc., that would still be immensely helpful. And I'd love you forever! :D (It's not too long.... about 4.5 pages :P)
